Christian English pass for a touchdown and ran for a score and Jackson Cinfel had a rushing touchdown to help Fresno City College to a 24-14 victory over City College of San Francisco on Saturday afternoon.
Fresno City’s defense was for the most part stifling despite giving up a long touchdown pass in the second half.
Fresno City (3-0) is one of the top defenses in the state, only allowing 14 points per game.
Not bad for Fresno City under head coach Josh Brown, who helped ran the defense at Sacramento State last season.
Fresno City only allowed 12 first downs and dominated the time of possession at 35:58 compared to CCSF’s 24:02.
Fresno City’s defense held CCSF running to 89 yards.
Fresno City rushed for 154 yards, behind Cinfel’s 120 yards.
