One person was shot by police inside a home in the Hollywood Hills on Saturday night, officials said.
Officers responded to the home on Warbler Way after a 911 call about a man with a knife inside just after 9:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. It’s unknown if that man lived at the home or knew any of the residents.
Police say at least one officer opened fire inside the residence, striking one person. More details about what led up to the shooting and who was hit were not immediately available. The LAPD said the individual struck is still alive.
Aerial footage from NewsChopper4 showed officers on two different streets and crime tape being put up. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were also at the scene.
This is a developing story.
