Milpitas police arrested Anila Baby in California after two acquaintances were killed hours apart, a case prosecutors say now includes two murder charges. The Milpitas Police Department announced the arrest after an alleged fatal hit-and-run in an apartment complex parking lot that killed Anjana Hari. On Tuesday, September 8, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office filed a murder charge tied to a second killing the same day in San Jose. Police said a blue SUV accelerated, struck Hari and three parked cars, and fled; KRON4 reported the women were friends. Two hours later in San Jose, officers found another stabbing victim and later arrested Baby in a Walgreens lot in a damaged SUV; a plea hearing is set for November 11.
