A pedestrian was killed on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026 in a hit-and-run crash at McKinley and Normal Avenues, near First Street in Fresno, California.

A pedestrian in his late 70s or early 80s was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in Fresno.
Officers responded to the area at 8:30 p.m. at McKinley Avenue and Normal Avenue and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway, according to Fresno Police Lt. Alfonso Castillo.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Castillo said the vehicle involved in the crash did not remain at the scene, prompting a hit-and-run investigation.
Police are currently looking for a sedan, although investigators have limited information about the vehicle.
The pedestrian was apparently attempting to cross the street, traveling from south to northwest, when he was struck.
Police said they have located witnesses, but they did not see the actual collision.
The investigation is expected to keep officers in the area for another four to six hours, Castillo said.
