As we begin a new academic year, I am pleased to welcome our Hornet community back to campus. The start of the year brings new energy and a lot to be excited about. I share some of that excitement in the video below and hope you’ll take a few minutes to enjoy it.
The work and accomplishments of our academic community are a source of tremendous pride. In the year ahead, we will celebrate the exceptional teaching, scholarship, creative activity, and service of our faculty, highlight the important contributions of our staff, and recognize the remarkable achievements of our students. Sharing these contributions more broadly will provide a fuller picture of the many ways Academic Affairs shapes the student experience at Sacramento State.
We have many reasons to feel optimistic about the year ahead. Building on our progress, we will strengthen our academic community that supports learning, discovery, and success throughout our university.
Thank you for all that you do!
Mary Maguire
Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
