A video shared on social media by the California Highway Patrol shows the moment a climber was rescued after falling down a 700-foot cliff in Fresno County over the weekend.
On Friday at around 12:45, a rescue team with the CHP Coastal Division Air Operations responded to the report that a climber had fallen off of a steep cliff, known as the “Power Dome.”
The climber was in need of urgent extraction and medical care, the CHP said.
With the help of a helicopter rescue technician from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, the team safely rescued the injured climber and transported them to an ambulance.
The climber’s identity and condition were not known. No further details were immediately available.
