Police did not release the identity of the 17-year-old who was shot to death at an apartment complex near Valley Children’s Stadium on Saturday night.
Police on Monday said they will not provide “further details regarding this investigation at this time” after the shooting occurred just after 10:45 p.m. at Bulldog Lane and Ninth Street.
When officers arrived, they found the teen with several wounds to the upper body. Initially, police said the victim was a man.
The teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died.
Police said the shooting occurred at an apartment complex and was unrelated to the Fresno State football game.
No suspect description was released.
