San Francisco man sentenced to 150 years for posing as rideshare driver to assault women

A man who posed as a rideshare driver to target young women in San Francisco has been sentenced to 150 years to life in prison, the San Francisco District Attorney’s office told KTVU.

Orlando Lazo, 44, was convicted of multiple counts of kidnapping and sexual assault tied to attacks that occurred between 2013 and 2018.

Prosecutors said he picked up women leaving bars and nightclubs, drove them to isolated locations and assaulted them.

Investigators were able to connect the crimes through DNA evidence from a 2018 attack, leading to his arrest and conviction, KTVU reported.
