Another grocery store staple sold in California stores has been recalled.
Frozen pasta is being recalled due to potential contamination from listeria.
The recalled product was distributed to retailers nationwide, including select grocery stores in California.

On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Gias Foods of New York City recalled select lots of frozen pasta because they have the “potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.”
The bacteria can cause “serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems,” company officials said in a news release.
The recall affects 22-ounce containers of Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine.
The recalled pasta is packaged in yellow plastic bags stamped with universal product code No. 194346442706 as well as expiration dates of Sept. 19, 2027, or Sept. 20, 2027, on the back.
“No illnesses have been reported to date,” Gia Foods said.
Where was recalled pasta sold?
The product was sold at select Walmart stores in California, company officials said in a news release.
What are symptoms of listeria infection?
Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection that can be especially dangerous for older adults, people with weakened immune systems, pregnant individuals and newborns.
According to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, listeria can cause flu-like symptoms, including fever, body aches and fatigue.
Listeria monocytogenes infection can also “cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women,” Gia Foods said.
What should I do if I bought recalled pasta?
If you bought the recalled Gia Foods pasta, you can “return it to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the company said.
