Motorcyclist killed in Sunset Cliffs area crash – San Diego Union-Tribune

A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed Wednesday in a collision with an SUV in the Sunset Cliffs area.

The man was riding northbound on Catalina Boulevard when his 2003 Harley-Davidson crashed into an eastbound 2016 Jeep Patriot that crossed into his path at Varona Street shortly after noon, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Paramedics took the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he died, Officer John Buttle said. The victim’s name was withheld pending family notification.

“DUI was not a factor in this crash,” Buttle said.
