Ceré Tea, a favorite matcha tea shop with outlets in Burlingame, Milpitas, San Francisco and Saratoga, has recently opened a new store in Berkeley. What’s more, they are looking to hire baristas in most of their locations.
The shop specializes in ceremonial-grade matcha, the highest level of Japanese green tea powder made from the youngest tea leaves of the earliest spring harvest. You can mix and match the tea with a variety of house-made fruit purees, as well as add extras like USA Grade A tapioca pearls and whipped cream. They also offer hojicha — a roasted green tea with less caffeine — and espresso drinks.
The Berkeley store is currently in its soft-opening phase and offering opening specials, while the San Francisco location opened earlier this year, in March.
