October is shaping up to be a musical month for Sacramento, with big music acts such as Doja Cat and Thomas Rhett set to perform.
Country musician Thomas Rhett’s appearance at Golden 1 Center is scheduled for Oct. 3. The “Die a Happy Man” singer will perform songs from his newest album, “About a Woman.” Rhett is known for blending country, R&B and soul influences in his work, with hit songs like “Crash and Burn,” “Marry Me” and “Life Changes.”
Doja Cat, the rap-pop behind “Planet Her” and “Scarlet,” will be performing at Golden 1 Center on Oct. 20.
Known for her eccentric on-stage persona, Doja Cat will perform songs from her newest album “Vie.” The album is a pivot from her older work and pays tribute to the 1980s. With teased out hair, animal print bodysuits and heavy makeup, the “Vie” era pays homage to Grace Jones, Prince and Janet Jackson, among other synth-pop trailblazers.

Comedian Matt Rife will also appear at the Golden 1 Center. The stand-up comedy artist, who sparked controversy during his first Netflix special, will perform Oct. 11. Tickets start at $133 and can be purchased on the Go Tickets website.
