ExperTec Automotive has spent nine consecutive years as one of Best of O.C.’s top auto repair poll winners. That kind of consistency means a lot to people who need a good mechanic, well basically, right now.
Across three family-owned locations, car owners can get basic maintenance, like oil changes, fluid checks and inspections for tires, brakes, and batteries. If you need a repair or perhaps even a smog test, ExperTec can service all makes and models, including hybrids, as well as hot rods and classic cars. If you need your car repaired immediately but don’t quick have the money to get it done, ExperTec also offers financing options. All repairs come with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty and 12-month, 12,000-mile roadside assistance.

ExperTec, which has been in business since 1993, is also active in the communities where it has shops, participating in events such as Huntington Beach Independence Day and the Lions Club Fish Fry in Costa Mesa.
Gabriel of Irvine says in his Yelp review that ExperTec did “quick and professional work for an oil change. I was greeted upon entering and given a 40-minute estimate for services. It took much quicker than that, being around half an hour. Overall a great experience for the good price that it is.”
Lyna added in her review “I will continue to always get my car serviced here. They are honest, reliable, and just great in general. They openly communicate with you and you can’t beat the prices. Will continue to be a loyal member.”
2. Goritz Six Fix

Cornelius Goritz can fix pretty much anything with your Porsche and enthusiasts love him for it. His Goritz Six Fix provides full services on all years and models, but specializes in 911, 914, 993 and 356 models.
“Focusing on such a small range of vehicles allows us to deliver the highest quality possible, from workmanship, attention to detail and the materials used,” Goritz says. “Our customers are looking for a shop that takes care of their ‘baby.’”

Four decades is a long time to be fixing cars but Bruce Britton is fine with that. For the fifth consecutive year, Britton’s remains one of Orange County’s most respected repair shops, a shop he now runs with his son Cameron.
They offer complete auto repairs for most makes and models, from mechanical fixes to electrical work, and air conditioning, tune-ups as well as brakes, axles, steering and tires. Even transmission repairs and engine replacement. And free online quotes are available.
“I thought my van needed a new fuel pump … they replaced it at the best price,” says John from Brea in his Yelp review. “I failed to realize it was the pressure fuel pump. Cameron was able to replace it without charging me an arm and leg. Finding an honest mechanic is a challenge so I highly recommend Britton Automotive”
