Yuba County Sheriff’s Office investigates two separate deaths as suspicious
Two unrelated deaths are being investigated as suspicious in Yuba County, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office said deputies received reports Monday around 3:30 p.m. of a deceased individual off the roadway in the area of Frenchtown Road in Dobbins. Deputies later found the body.
The next day, around 2:40 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of another deceased person on the shoulder of the roadway on Plumas Arboga Road in Plumas Lake. Deputies found the body after they arrived.
The sheriff’s office said investigators are currently treating the deaths as two separate suspicious death investigations and working to determine the circumstances around each person’s death. Both deceased persons appear to be in different stages of decomposition, the sheriff’s office said.
Neither individual has been identified.
Following forensic autopsies on Thursday, the sheriff’s office said the person found in Dobbins appeared to be a middle-aged man. The individual found in Plumas Lake was an elderly woman.
