Man charged with multiple felonies, denies bond
TROY, Mich. – A 38-year-old man has been arrested and denied bond in an early morning armed robbery at an Oakland County gas station.
According to authorities, the armed robbery happened just before 2:30 a.m. Oct. 30, at a Shell Gas Station in Troy, near the intersection of Rochester Road and South Boulevard.
Police said the man entered the gas station with what appeared to be an AK-47, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money. After being given cash, he ran off.
“Put your hands on your head and count to a hundred,” he can be heard telling the clerk. “You move, you die.”

The Troy Police Department said Joseph Louis Carter was arrested without incident. He was arraigned Monday, Nov. 7, with armed robbery, felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of felony firearm.
He was denied bond.
Police credited the public for providing information that led to Carter’s arrest.
