Sacramento County park closes after major damage caused by vandalism
Ancil Hoffman Park is closed on Sunday after damages caused by a “major vandalism event,” Sacramento County Regional Parks said.
Regional park officials said at least 10 light poles and multiple street signs were knocked over and the vandalism caused live wires at the park. At least one bathroom had sinks and barriers ripped off its walls.

The park’s golf course and the Effie Yeaw Nature Center were temporarily closed but have since reopened.
The rest of the park remains closed due to maintenance and clean-up efforts.
It is unclear who committed the vandalism. Regional park officials told KCRA 3 rangers are investigating the incident.
