PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — U.S. marshals arrested a woman in California last month wanted for a November 2025 killing in Portland, the Portland Police Bureau said on Tuesday.
U.S. marshals found 55-year-old Mary Ann McKinzy in Bakersfield, California on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and arrested her.
She was extradited to Oregon last Friday.
On Nov. 28, 2025, police were called to Southeast 162nd Avenue near Taylor Street just before 3:45 a.m. and found 75-year-old James S. Miller, of Portland, dead.
The medical examiner’s office later determined he died by blunt force trauma.
McKinzy was taken to the Multnomah County jail where she faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault and negligent homicide.
