FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Children and adults can take steps to identify reliable medical information online as they navigate the growing amount of health content available on the internet.
Tips are being shared to help people determine which online medical sources are reliable. The “Healthy Kids Healthy Futures” initiative is a partnership with Valley Children’s Hospital and Fresno State.
Jim Boren, executive director of the Institute for Media and Public Trust at Fresno State, joined Action News to discuss how to identify reliable medical sources online.
Parents can find additional resources and tips at valleychildrens.org/healthykids.
Topics available through the program range from mental health and physical well-being to guidance for talking with children about social media platforms.
