The San Diego Seals will make their Frontwave Arena debut on Dec. 19 against the Oshawa FireWolves, part of a schedule announced by the National Lacrosse League team on Wednesday.
The Seals will play all eight home games in Oceanside after moving north following a decade at Pechanga Arena.
After traveling for four of their first games, the Seals will play seven of their final 12 at home. March figures to be their busiest month at home: the club will play three Saturday night matches at Frontwave, taking on the Buffalo Bandits on March 6, the Halifax Thunderbirds on March 13 and the Colorado Mammoth on March 27. All but one of San Diego’s home games start at 7 p.m., the lone outlier being an April 25 regular-season finale against the Vancouver Warriors.
“Line ’em up and let’s go,” said Seals coach and general manager Patrick Merrill. “We signed up for 18 (games) and hopefully a few more, and we can’t wait to get started.”
Gulls schedule set
The San Diego Gulls will play their home opener Oct. 10 against the Henderson Silver Knights. The 6 p.m. game is one of 13 Saturday home dates for the American Hockey League club, which remains at Pechanga following the Seals’ departure.
The AHL’s unbalanced schedule will see the Gulls take on the regional rival Ontario Reign eight times after the teams met just four times a year ago. Six of their eight meetings will come on the weekends, with the Gulls hosting Ontario on March 7 and April 10.
San Diego opens the 2026-27 season on Oct. 3, taking on the Barracuda at San Jose’s Tech CU Arena.
