Man arrested on domestic violence charges after hiding on roof in NE Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and other charges after hiding on a roof in northeast Bakersfield Friday morning.

Deputies with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2100 block of Alta Vista Drive for a search warrant and a warrant for domestic violence charges on Friday around 7:50 a.m.

Sheriff officials said a man identified as Marcus Miles refused to surrender. He allegedly fled out of an attic and hid on the roof.

Miles was ultimately apprehended by deputies and arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, threaten with intent to terrorize, willful cruelty to a child and other related charges.
