FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno County will soon unveil a new logo with a brand new look to celebrate Fresno County’s 170th birthday.
Officials said the change better reflects Fresno County today, from the agricultural fields, forests in the Sierra, and everything in between.
Fresno County, which is home to more than one million people, has had the same county seal for decades. But in 2024, county officials started the process to redesign a new seal. They said it started with asking county employees about how they view the county.
Ultimately, when they asked the public to weigh in, they settled on the tagline, “farms to forest we serve.”

“It bookends what the county is all about,” Supervisor Nathan Magsig said.
But supervisors had to decide if they would keep the current seal and only use this new logo for limited purposes.
Supervisor Buddy Mendes said he liked the old logo, while Supervisor Luis Chavez liked using a mixture of both logos, saying he still had old business cards from 2008 with the old logo.
They ultimately decided to keep what’s being called the “legacy logo” and use the new logo and tagline for daily communication, social media, events, and more.
“In the year of Fresno County’s 170th birthday, let’s modernize our brand so everyone knows who and where we are and how deeply we care about serving our people,” the county’s promotional video for the new logo announced.
