A Utah woman missing on the Central Coast since last week is considered at-risk, investigators are not ruling out foul play, and deputies are hoping surveillance video can help track her last movements.Danielle Staley, 35, was last seen late Thursday night at a bonfire with several people near Rio Del Mar state beach in Aptos.“With any type of missing person and especially under these circumstances, which is unusual, we’re not ruling out foul play, we’re not saying that there is foul play, but we’re definitely not ruling it out at this point,” said Zach West, a spokesman for the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.Investigators consider the 35-year-old woman at risk for several reasons; she left some personal belongings, including her cell phone, at the beach bonfire, she’s not from the area and she hasn’t had contact with family back home in Utah.“And that raised concern, it’s not like her to not be in possession of her personal items and specifically hasn’t had any communication with her family, and that’s obviously uncharacteristic of her as well,” said West.Staley is 5’-6”, 120 pounds with blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and leopard print leggings.According to investigators with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, Staley and a friend arrived on the Central Coast just before or after Halloween, staying in a camper van around Aptos and Rio del Mar state beach. That’s where the search for Staley and any surveillance video of her is underway.“Obviously, we know that that can help kind of give us a timeline of events and might lead us throughout the investigation that can maybe uncover a couple of stones that we haven’t found yet,” West said. The person who was traveling with Danielle Staley is cooperating with the investigation, according to investigators, and those same investigators are going through the woman’s phone for any clues on who she might have been in contact with.If you have any surveillance video that might show Staley between November 6th and Halloween, please contact the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.
