FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — One person is in custody after a fire broke out late Thursday night at a Bank of America branch in Southeast Fresno.

The fire was reported after 11 p.m. at the bank on Kings Canyon Road near Phillip Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the building’s exterior and several windows broken. Crews called for additional assistance to battle the blaze.

Investigators have not determined what caused the fire but said they know where it started.

“It was in one of the outside rooms, not outside but near the edge of the building on the inside… and just looked like it started in one area,” Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Kirk Wanless said.

Authorities are questioning the person in custody.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
