One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday that closed the transition road from the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway to the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.
A Ford Mustang and a Ford F-150 pickup truck collided around 12:59 a.m. Friday, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson said.
The injured person was transported to the hospital from the scene of the collision, the CHP said.
Attenuator sand barrels near the roadway divider were struck during the collision, releasing sand into the roadway.
The transition road was closed, prompting a SigAlert that is scheduled to remain in effect until 6:24 a.m. while crews clear the site of the collision and clean the sand, the CHP said.
