Cynthia Marie Carroll
OBITUARY
Cynthia Marie Carroll passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with breast cancer.
She was the third of eight children of Orlando and Marie Johann. Raised in San Diego, CA, she graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA.
Cindy was petite, exceptionally pretty, with a lively, outgoing personality and a curiosity that led her to all sorts of adventures. She worked for a time as a travel agent, pursuing her love of travel. She had a long career with Boeing in Seattle. She faced life’s challenges with amazing optimism and fortitude.
She was a devoted mother to her only son, David Meyers. In 1999, she married the love of her life, Tom Carroll. They started their life together in a quaint house next to the Snoqualmie Falls in Washington. When Tom retired, they moved into the house they built in Sequim, WA, but Cindy longed for a warmer climate, so they moved to Tucson, AZ.
Tom and Cindy shared a deep, sustaining, and abiding faith. Cindy was very active in Bible Studies and other activities in her spiritual community. Her faith in the goodness of God was inspirational. Her actions reflected that faith. She was known for her generous gifts of delicious, homemade cupcakes and muffins. She could be counted on to step up, step in, when help was needed. Her weekly, hour-long phone calls to her sister Susan sustained them both. Her regimen of almost daily swimming kept her fit and slender. She and Tom and Zoe treasured all their many friends, human and canine, at the dog parks in their neighborhood.
Cindy was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Tom, son David Meyers (Laura Clark), four sisters and three brothers, nine nieces and nephews, and precious pup Zoe.
