A preliminary 3.5-magnitude earthquake rattled Hermosa Beach on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was registered at about 8:40 a.m. at a depth of 11.9 kilometers off the coast. Residents in Gardena, Torrance, parts of west Los Angeles and surrounding areas reported feeling the earthquake.
No injuries or structural damage were reported.
