The Father Joe’s Villages 6th Annual Golf Classic was held Sept. 24 at the Grand Golf Club at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar with a sold-out field of golfers from San Diego and beyond hitting the green in support of those who have served this country, a news release stated.
Presented by The BEST CEO Group, golfers had a chance to compete in tournament play, enjoy a special brunch and be honored in an awards reception.
For those not golfing, the event also featured a silent auction, where they could bid on premium golf items, trips and local experiences. All proceeds will directly fund Father Joe’s Villages’ services for veterans.
“This event honors the people who dedicated their lives to serving our country,” said Deacon Jim Vargas, president and CEO of Father Joe’s Villages, in the news release. “San Diego has made real progress toward ending veteran homelessness, but every veteran still without a home is a reminder that our work is not finished.” For more on Father Joe’s Villages, visit my.neighbor.org
