A woman is dead after officers say she was hit by a suspected DUI driver in Fresno County early Wednesday morning.
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — A woman is dead after officers say she was hit by a suspected DUI driver in Fresno County.
It happened in the area of Central and Elm early Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol found the woman’s body on the right shoulder just before 5 am.
Officers believe the crash happened a couple of hours beforehand.
Authorities were able to find the suspect at a home in Easton and took him into custody.
The woman has not been identified.
Officers are still investigating what exactly led up to the crash.
No road closures in the area of Central and Elm are in place.
