A well-known owner of three pubs in San Francisco has been charged with robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
Cyril Hacket, owner of Mad Dog in the Fog, Kezar Pub and Murio’s Trophy Room, is accused of walking into a shop called Further in the Haight Ashbury neighborhood with a bat. A security video from Saturday showed Hacket swinging the bat and walking out with a jacket from the shop’s rack.
Witnesses said the confrontation followed a parking dispute that happened earlier in the day.
District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said the investigation is still ongoing. She’s asking anyone with information to call San Francisco police.
