Marin County sheriff’s detectives arrested a Sacramento County man accused of stealing two electric bicycles in unincorporated Sausalito.
The thefts were reported last Friday and Sunday. One of the e-bikes was listed for sale on social media, said Miguel Almaguer, a spokesperson for the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. The owner of the other bike provided investigators with surveillance footage of the alleged thief.
Investigators identified the suspect as a resident of North Highlands, served a search warrant on Tuesday, arrested the suspect and recovered the bikes, Almaguer said.
Nikolay Nazarchuk, 37, was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of grand theft and for warrants in other cases. He remained in custody Thursday in lieu of $10,000 bail.
