Authorities are searching for three men connected to a shooting in West Hollywood on Thursday.
The shooting was reported on Holloway Drive near Hancock Park, adjacent to the Sunset Strip, around 5:15 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries, the LASD said.
Surveillance video obtained by NBC Los Angeles appears to show three masked men jump out of a car and surround a man seen leaving a retail store before gunfire erupts. The man who was allegedly robbed was left on the sidewalk.
Uriel Baladez, a witness, told NBCLA the suspects then got into a vehicle and hit a Ferrari.
“They just kept on going,” Baladez said. “They pushed the whole throttle down like if nothing was on their way, and you know, who would imagine this on the quiet street?”
Officials say the suspects were described as wearing face masks, black hooded sweatshirts, black pants and black shoes, last seen heading east on Holloway Drive in a silver sedan. No one was taken into custody as of 8 p.m.
At least 10 shell casing were found in the area, the sheriff’s department said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the West Hollywood Station at 310-855-8850.
