Dad’s Cookies opens new store in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Dad’s Cookies opened a new store in downtown Fresno on Saturday.

Dad’s Cookies is located in Downtown Fresno on Fulton Street.

To celebrate the grand opening, the father-daughter duo handcrafted a small batch of ceramic cookie plates exclusively for the grand opening.

The store offers cookies, coffee, and other sweet treats.

The founder of Dad’s Cookies, Lance Sanchez, started the company in 2020 when he was laid off from his job at the beginning of the pandemic.

Instead of dwelling on the setback, he took the opportunity to start a new venture and offer cookies to the public with a recipe that he would bake for his daughters when they were growing up.

He then turned to his daughter, Haivyn, for help, and with her expertise in marketing for restaurants, they were able to build buzz, launch Dads Cookies, and offer a product that the community quickly began raving about.
