An extreme heat warning remains in effect until 8:00 pm Thursday as dangerously hot conditions continue across the coasts and valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

Temperatures are expected to reach 90 to 100 degrees along the coast and up to 106 degrees in the valleys. Heat-related illnesses become significantly more likely during extreme heat events.
Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley will see sunny, hot conditions Monday and Tuesday, with highs near 104 degrees. Overnight lows will range from 69 to 72 degrees.
Wednesday and Thursday will remain sunny and hot, with highs near 98 degrees and overnight lows around 69 to 70 degrees. Temperatures will ease Friday, with sunny skies and a high near 93 degrees. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 66 degrees.
Residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, avoid the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.
