A-list actors and leading oncologists sported blue jackets for the fashion benefit

Our publisher, Chris Gialanella, returned to the runway alongside a stacked lineup of Hollywood names at the Blue Jacket Fashion Show at The W Hollywood on Tuesday, September 29, as the event celebrated its Diamond Anniversary and Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. All of the looks were selected by celebrity stylist Tod Hallman.

Gialanella joined a who’s-who of entertainment on the catwalk, including Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko, 90210 and Sharknado star Ian Ziering (fresh off announcing his new hosting gig on “The Great American Road Rally: Celebrity Edition”), and actor/model Sam Asghari, who went shirtless on the runway and shared a kiss in the crowd with girlfriend Brooke Irvine. Everett Osborne (currently starring in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married…” the #1 movie on Netflix right now) also walked, alongside legendary singer Jon B, Love Is Blind‘s Brett Brown, Netflix’s Beauty in Black star Ricco Ross, Emmy winner Terrence Terrell, Blossom‘s David Lascher, reality veteran Jordan Wisely, and Jonathan Tanigaki of Hulu’s Paradise.

NFL legend Rodney Peete walked as well, joined by transformation specialist Corey Calliet (Michael B. Jordan’s personal trainer) and pro cyclist and Olympic hopeful Dante Young.

Four leading doctors in prostate cancer research — Dr. Matthew Rettig (UCLA), Dr. Jun Gong (Cedars-Sinai), Dr. Przemyslaw Twardowski (Providence) and Dr. Daniel Daneshvar (UCI) — also walked, grounding the glamour in the evening’s real purpose.

Off the runway, businesswoman Savannah James posed alongside Ricco Ross and his wife Julie with designer Frederick Anderson, while celebrity DJ Dar Jar kept the night moving.

The cause behind the catwalk

Prostate cancer remains one of the most significant health concerns facing men, with Black men approximately 70% more likely to be diagnosed and twice as likely to die from the disease compared to white men. Founded in 2016 by designer Frederick Anderson and Laura Miller, the Blue Jacket Fashion Show has spent a decade using fashion’s cultural reach to push men toward conversations about early detection they might not otherwise have.

The signature blue jacket itself has become shorthand for that mission; a visible symbol worn by designers, athletes, celebrities and advocates alike, turning an everyday item into a symbol of solidarity. This year’s LA celebration was sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, with Bloomingdale’s returning menswear to the runway to spotlight Fall 2026 trends from designers carried in the Los Angeles market.
