Cal State L.A., Alliance College-Ready Public Schools sign agreement

Cal State L.A. and the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools charter network signed an agreement to help Alliance graduates transition to college and earn their degrees, the university announced. Alliance has campuses across L.A., including Echo Park, El Sereno, East L.A. and Lincoln Heights.

Cal State L.A. President Berenecea Johnson Eanes and Alliance CEO Pablo Villavicencio signed the agreement at the university, formalizing and expanding work the organizations began more than a year ago through Insights2Action. The initiative helps both institutions understand how Alliance graduates are doing in college and where they need support.

Plans include strengthening ties between Alliance’s high school counselors and Cal State L.A. so students learn about campus resources before enrolling and know where to find help once they arrive
