ANAHEIM, Calif. — There are three things for certain in the fall in Southern California: heat, pumpkin spice lattes and Disneyland increasing prices to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Before anyone panics, there are no increases to standard or preferred parking, and there are no changes to Magic Key pricing this year. Additionally, for Magic Key holders, the amusement park is looking to make updates to its no-show policy, which would give Magic Key holders more flexibility, according to Disneyland officials.
The lowest price ticket (Tier 0) remains the same — $104.
Here’s the rest of the ticket tiers and their new $5 price hike, which include select one-day theme park tickets:
Tier 1 is now $134
Tier 2 is now $154
Tier 3 is also up to $174
Tier 4 is now $189
Tier 5 through Tier 6 prices remain unchanged. The prices for one-park (two-day, three-day, four-day and five-day) will remain unchanged.
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass (pre-arrival) will now cost $35, a $1 increase or 3%.
The Lighting Lane Multi Pass (day-of) will now start at $38, but may vary. It’s also a $1 increase, or a 3% increase.
Disneyland Resort officials said they know guests are watching what they spend and looked at the price increases product by product instead of one increase across the board.
In an interview with CNN, Thomas Mazloum, chairman of Disney Experiences, said:
“Our goal is to put guests at the center of our decision making, and that starts by listening to them. That matters more now when families are watching every dollar, and we see it in the choices they make every day — in how they plan, in how far ahead.”
Park officials also said that despite the price increases, Disneyland remains focused on providing value.
The new prices went into effect Tuesday.
