Nathan Magsig brought forward to bring financial relief to residents at Shaver Springs dealing with a water problem.

Nathan Magsig at the Board of Supervisors meeting brought forward an item with the Department of Public Works and Planning to allocate $100,000 from his District 5 funds to provide aid to Shaver Springs.

County staff presented several options to ensure these local funds deliver the greatest immediate impact without jeopardizing the nearly $1 million in state grant funding the community relies on.

Potential relief options under review include bottled water assistance, water system treatment, sewer rate relief, and expediting the state-required feasibility study.

The item passed 5-0, and the Board has directed staff to return with final recommendations and next steps at our October 20th meeting.
