Sacramento police responded to a small number of misdemeanor incidents but did not report any major issues during Aftershock, the four-day rock and metal music festival that wrapped up Sunday at Discovery Park.

The festival brought “no major security issues,” the Sacramento Police Department said in response to a Sacramento Bee inquiry. Officers responded to a “few” misdemeanor reports and issued citations or made arrests in two cases. Police also made one DUI arrest.

One of the misdemeanor citations came Saturday night, after officers took a report about 9:30 p.m. of an alleged assault. About two hours later, officers located the suspect, who was cited for sexual battery, police said.

About 180,000 people attended the four-day Aftershock festival, organizers said, which broke the record of 165,000 set in 2025. Temperatures consistently reached the 90s during this year’s event.
