ATLANTA, Ga. – The Federal Aviation Administration says it is investigating after a Delta plane clipped the tail of an Air Canada flight Tuesday morning at Los Angeles International Airport.
The FAA said a wing of Delta Air Lines Flight 7, an Airbus A350-900 bound for Tokyo, clipped the tail of Air Canada Flight 785 as the Delta flight was preparing to take off.
Flight 785, a Boeing 777-200LR, had just arrived from Toronto and was taxiing to its gate.
No injuries were reported.
Delta Air Lines said in a statement, “While taxiing at Los Angeles International Airport, a Delta aircraft made contact with an Air Canada aircraft. Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people, and we apologize to our customers for the experience and delay in their travels.”
