Finding qualified employees takes time, especially when a business is balancing hiring with the demands of serving customers and running day-to-day operations. A job posting may attract applications, but reviewing resumés and identifying candidates who meet the position requirements is another task altogether. Fresno County employers have a local resource designed to help with both.

The Hiring & Industry Resource for Employment (H.I.R.E.) Job Board connects Fresno County businesses with local job seekers at no cost. Managed by the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board’s Business Services Center, the job board gives employers a place to promote their openings and access to a team that can help them move the hiring process forward.

That local connection is what makes the H.I.R.E. Job Board different from other job boards. Employers work with the Business Services team on the qualifications they need, the type of position they are filling, and their hiring goals. Once an employer submits a job order, the team prescreens candidates based on those requirements and shares resumés that match. Instead of sorting through every application on their own, employers can focus their attention on candidates who meet their requirements.

Employers can post full-time and part-time opening, from entry-level to retail and administrative roles. Whether a business is adding one team member or filling several roles, the H.I.R.E. Job Board offers a way to share those opportunities with local job seekers.

The Business Services Center also makes the job board accessible to Workforce Connection participants and anyone visiting a workforce Connection office. A link to the H.I.R.E. Job Board is available on every computer at Workforce Connection locations in Fresno, Parlier, and Mendota. That means someone using the resource room for a job search can discover openings posted by local employers while receiving support from the Workforce Connection staff in that office.

If hiring needs change, employers can contact the Business Services team to request changes to the job posting, extend it if a position remains open, or remove it once the role has been filled. Having a local team manage the board makes it easy to keep postings current and up to date with what the business needs.

For small businesses, recruitment support can make a big difference. Owners and managers know what they are looking for but often have limited time to advertise an opening, review applicants, and follow up. The Business Services Center provides a point of contact throughout that process. Employers can explain what qualifications matter most and receive help connecting with candidates who meet them.

The Business Services team can also connect employers with the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board’s incentive programs, including subsidized wages, training to upskill current employees, and no-cost human resources assistance.

The goal is straightforward: make it easier for Fresno County employers to find local talent and for local job seekers to find opportunities.
