SALINAS, Calif. —
A new 7 Brew Coffee drive-thru is moving forward at the former KFC site on South Main Street in Salinas.
Permits were recently approved, and demolition work is underway.
The Arkansas-based coffee chain has not announced an opening date for the Salinas location.
It is one of several 7 Brew projects proposed or approved in California this year, including locations in Northern California.
The company’s store locator does not currently list any open locations in California.
A third-party directory says 7 Brew has more than 700 locations nationwide, concentrated largely in the South and Midwest. The directory says it is not affiliated with 7 Brew, so that count has not been independently verified.
The coffee chain started in 2017 and offers energy drinks, fizz sodas, smoothies, lemonades, coffee, tea and other specialty beverages.
