A man suffered several gunshot wounds during a shooting in the Midtown community of Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
The condition of the victim was not immediately clear.

Officers dispatched at about 9:15 p.m. Friday to a “hit” shooting in the 2400 block of Atlantic Avenue located a man with gunshot wounds to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital. Officers located evidence of a crime scene,” according to a police statement. “The motive, circumstances, and suspect information remain under investigation.”
