Southern California is finally recovering from a brutal and historic October heatwave!

Daily temperature records shattered across San Diego County for six of the first seven days of the month. Offshore Santa Ana winds pushed the thermometer to a scorching 105 degrees at San Diego International Airport, driving fire danger to critical levels.

But prepare for a total weather flip! Extreme Heat Warnings will officially end by Friday night. Two incoming low-pressure systems rectify the region just in time for the weekend, bringing sharp temperature drops, cloud cover, and even a chance of rain by Sunday.
