A free neighborhood potluck is coming to Los Feliz this Sunday, and even though the tables are sold out, you can still join the party at Longest Table Los Feliz.
Taking place on Sunday, October 18, from noon to 3 p.m., the inaugural event will transform Finley Avenue between Vermont Avenue and Hillhurst Avenue into a communal dining space where neighbors can meet, share food, and make new friends.
Organizers are running a waitlist for reserved seating, but they’re encouraging people from the surrounding neighborhood to come anyway. Just bring your own chair or picnic blanket, pack a dish to share, and settle in for a relaxed afternoon outdoors.
How the free Los Feliz potluck works
Longest Table Los Feliz is a community potluck rather than a traditional food festival, so attendees are responsible for bringing their own food and drinks. Organizers recommend preparing enough food to share with eight to 16 people.
If you’re planning to attend without a reserved table, bring everything you need to enjoy your picnic, including plates, utensils, napkins, cups, and drinks. Organizers will provide portable restrooms and handwashing stations, while registered table guests will have access to the provided tables and chairs.
Limited street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods, so public transportation or rideshare is recommended.
You might not get a spot at the communal table, but you can still be part of the gathering. Bring a dish, grab a chair, and spend Sunday afternoon getting to know your Los Feliz neighbors.
