(FOX40.COM) — A California Highway Patrol vehicle was destroyed and an officer was taken to the hospital after an on-duty car crash Tuesday night.

Around 10:23 p.m., the Sacramento Fire Department responded to Stockton Boulevard and Mack Road for a car accident involving a CHP vehicle. The cause of the crash is unclear. However, CHP reported that an officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
