“After diesel deal with Russia, Trump says Ukraine needs a new president” (Oct. 11): This caught my eye because several words in this headline are incorrect. If I’m not mistaken, the headline should read, “After diesel deal with Russia, U.S. needs a new president.”

It is disheartening that Americans continue to support President Trump as he sides with Russia and turns his back on Ukraine. Trump disregards Vladimir Putin’s help to Iran while we’re at war with Iran. Speaking about the war, he recently said, “They [Iran] can take out a city … let them take out San Diego,” as some in the audience cheered.

Trump pays no attention to the suffering of Ukrainian civilians, as Putin kills people riding on buses and sleeping in their apartments. Lindsey Graham must be turning over in his grave and people around the world must be wondering, “What happened to the U.S.?”

Re “Trump: Reckless menace or babbling dolt?” (Oct. 7): I’d like to share my opinion that Trump is both a reckless menace and a babbling dolt.

He is a menace to the very people who elected him and to the entire world. Trump has alienated our allies and helped our adversaries by instituting nonsensical tariffs and starting a war with Iran that did not need to happen.

The babbling dolt has said, “Climate change is a hoax” and “drill, baby, drill.” Trump refuses to acknowledge that the least expensive energy sources are now wind and solar with storage capacity. He has done what he can to stifle renewable energy and promote fossil fuels. In the process, he has gifted China, our biggest economic and military adversary, the growth markets of solar panels, batteries, wind turbines and EVs.

Vote for change on Nov. 3!
