Life will be a little different at Oakland University at the end of this month.
Due to an urgent repair to the hot water pipe system serving numerous facilities across campus, the university will close the campus starting 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, through 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30.
During the closure classes will be cancelled. Clinical classes off campus and PACE online classes will not be affected.
Most university offices will be closed with only essential university operations to stay open.
Except for essential personnel who are expressly told to report to work, faculty and staff will be off Monday, Nov. 24, through Wednesday, Nov. 26.
The Rec Center will reopen at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec 1.

Students residing in university housing will be affected by the repair project and should watch for additional email communication..
The project will also close the OU Rec Center from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, and reopen 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1.
There will be no Rec Well classes, programs, or facility rentals during the closure.
On Thursday, Nov. 20, swim meet warm-ups will be from 2-2:45 p.m. Open swim will be limited to the shallow end and the evening open swim has been canceled.
