Three people were transported to a local hospital in San Jose on Saturday after a small propeller plane crashed.

The San Jose Fire Department said its personnel responded to the scene of a plane crash after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Capitol Expressway and Excalibur Drive. The three people — two adults and one child — did not have life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital “out of an abundance of caution,” the department posted on X.

No vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the fire department. A small amount of fuel was spilled in the crash and it was absorbed, the department wrote.

It’s the second plane crash in San Jose in as many days. On Friday evening, a small plane crash-landed at Reid-Hillview Airport due to faulty landing gear, according to the fire department. The plane’s two occupants were not injured.

The cause of Saturday’s crash was not immediately clear.
