The event honored Emmy Award-winning news anchor Kimberly Hunt and celebrated her late husband, former San Diego Chargers All-Pro linebacker and beloved broadcaster Billy Ray Smith Jr., following his passing in July.
Broadcaster Scott Kaplan served as Master of Ceremonies for an evening dedicated to celebrating the couple’s decades of community service, mentorship, and philanthropy across San Diego County, a news release stated.
The Nice Guys recognizes outstanding community leaders while raising funds to support local charities that improve the lives of children, families, veterans, and individuals throughout San Diego County, the news release stated.
