Police are searching for a man suspected of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl while she was shopping with her family at a Santa Ana discount store last month, authorities said.
The incident occurred Sept. 26 at DD’s Discount Store, located at 2116 S. Bristol St., according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Police said the girl was in the toy section when an unidentified man walked down the same aisle and touched her buttocks multiple times with his palm.
The girl ran away and cried for help, authorities said. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle before officers arrived.
Police described the male suspect as approximately 50 to 60 years old. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a short-sleeved white plaid button-up shirt and black shoes.
